We will be selling tickets on campus tomorrow (Jan 13) and Thursday (Jan 14) in the Medical Science Building Stone Lobby from 3-6pm. If you can't make it out those days, we will also be back next week, times to be announced.

We hope that everyone had a restful and enjoyable winter break. As the first announcement of the New Year, we are extending the early bird deadline! Discounted admission to the conference is now available until Friday, January 22. Stay tuned as we finalize our program this week.

Sorry for the lack of recent updates - our committee is taking a long-awaited break for the winter holidays and we'll be back in top gear for the New Year. However, I am very pleased to announce two more incredible speakers to our already smashing line-up: Nathaniel Lipkus from Gilbert's LLP and Husam Zomlot from the Belfer Center, Harvard. Stay tuned as we'll be announcing our final speakers and program in the beginning of January. On behalf of the committee, we wish you a wonderful holiday and a Happy New Year! - Andy

We are extremely excited to announce the addition of two more excellent and diverse speakers to our program: Dr. Keith Martin and Jason Saul. Also, we now have a Wiki page about foreign aid (work in progress) - feel free to leave comments and feedback!

Our registration process has undergone an overhaul and now has a proper registration form. A questionnaire has been put up on the site (located to the right) - if you have a few minutes then help us fill it out! Further, the About page has been updated and has an FAQ section. Finally, international attendees may want to visit our Registration page or at least click here. More updates to come over the weekend.

A poll has been put up on the site, located under the shoutbox. Vote to choose which workshops you want to see at the conference! (There will be 3 workshops, but vote for the one you want to see the most or leave a comment on the shoutbox). Thanks to Mike for setting this up.

There have been several small updates to the site over the last week. Some major updates include two new and very accomplished speakers to our program, Ben Peterson and Rebecca Tiessen! Also, early-bird registration is now open! Visit the Registration page for more info. Also, the program has been revised again. Feel free to leave feedback in the shoutbox.

The first time Yemen entered my consciousness was when I was little kid in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. A young Yemeni man was delivering a refrigerator to our home.
Many Yemenis came to Saudi Arabia to find a better life but most ended up doing menial work and being treated as second-class citizens. In fact, during the first Gulf War, the Saudis threw all the Yemeni nationals out of the country, even though many of them had been living in Saudi Arabia all their lives. ...
